I am a third-generation engineer that was taught at a young age that good engineers can solve problems, but a great engineer can explain the solution effectively. This is why I take pride in my communication skills and strive to begin the process on a foundation of trust. The problems and solutions my clients face is complex and can be expensive, so establishing trust and understanding is pivotal to my business approach. I have spent most of my career working for large engineering firms and realized business could be done better, more efficient, cost effective and quite frankly more fulfilling. I wanted to start a company that was purpose driven. I was taught to do right by your client, and they will do right by you. This philosophy is pivotal when focusing on sustainability, as well as solving the problem. It is also why I tell potential clients, “I am not here Just for a project, I am here to be your engineer.” Mears Engineers isn’t just a fun name that rhymes, it’s also my business model.
